New Orleans, Bywater

By Daryl on May 14, 2011 in

Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you get REALLY, REALLY lucky!   Located in Bywater, not too far from the French Quarter,  you are not just visiting New Orleans, but seamlessly become part of it.  From listening to the neighbor’s morning conversations, greeting each person that strolls by, stopping to pet the dogs that seem to come in mismatched pairs, drinking and eating at the very local spots,  you just slip right into the rhythm as if you have always belonged…and that is just within about 100 feet of the front door!   David and Susan could not be any nicer and they make you feel immediately at home.  The home is an incredible mixture of found and collected items that are so well placed that they are part of  the house, not just filling it.  As a deisgner, it is not easy to pull off placing such a wide collection of pieces  ..of course 12 foot high ceilings really help too!

What? I didn’t know such homes existed for real. I love the bathtub in the bedroom! And the colors on the walls are amazing, too. Lucky you!
